Why Licensing Matters
License & Tariff Information
Moving in Oregon is a highly regulated industry. To operate legally, movers must undergo strict screening by the Oregon Department of Transportation. Cascade Moving & Logistics is licensed with the following credentials: ODOT: 029716, USDOT: 4139681, MC: 1586961
Understanding Tariffs
⦁ The Oregon Department of Transportation sets all pricing for full-service moves. Tariff 200 mandates that all Oregon-based companies charge the exact same rates, allowing customers to choose who they trust most.
⦁ ODOT's pricing structure depends on whether your move is local or long distance.
- Local Moves: within 50 air miles of the Eugene/Springfield area. These moves are charged at a flat hourly rate determined by crew size.
- Long-Distance Moves: Beyond 50 air miles of the Eugene/Springfield area. These moves are charged by weight per mile.
